New Bow!

Postby Dingo » Fri Jul 13, 2012 12:13 am

Hi all,
Im finally getting back into the sport after 13yrs and I've got a 70# BEAR 'mauler'' on order!
As I'll be mostly hunting with it, and not knowing too much about the comp side of things, Id just like to know what sort of direction I should head in for a little bit of competition fun?
The bow comes in a RTH package and I'd like to keep it like that.
Any help (or even some opinions on the mauler) would be much appreciated!
Cheers

Well you have already made it to the website so that's a flying start!
My suggestion to you is to jump out to the front page and under the heading of "Branch information" click the relevant state. This will give you a list of the clubs in your state and help you find the nearest one to you. Give them a call and I am sure that they will be more than happy to help you out in regard to the comp side of things! On a personal note, Welcome back to Bowhunting mate, hope your new Bear Mauler puts some numbers and or trophies on the board/wall for you!

Cheers serum76 Its been a long time coming and I cant wait to get out there. I read the rules of shooting aba but im a little confused about which category Ill be shooting in.
My bow will have a 4 pin sight,a peep and quick release. Will that mean ill be in freestyle unlimited or bowhunter unlimited?

Bowhunter Unlimited provided your stablizer is no longer than 12 inches.
Freestyle unlimited is basically anything you want.
Still a Scout.
I'm not trying to be difficult. It just comes naturally.
